Birth Date
Your Personal Overall Goal:
You may already know how to add your numbers to know which part you play in the story described on The Numbers page.
This is how I add and reduce the numbers in a birth date to find out a person’s Overall Goal (also known as Life Number) in life:
The order I write and calculate dates is: day, month, year.
For example: 18.07.1963: 1+8+0+7+1+9+6+3 = 35; 3+5 = 8
or 23.05.1963: 2+3+0+5+1+9+6+3 = 29; 2+9 = 11 … Master Number, do not reduce to 2.
or 04.01.1961: 0+4+0+1+1+9+6+1 = 22 … Master Number, do not reduce to 4.
or 29.12.1963: 2+9+1+2+1+9+6+3 = 33 … Master Number, do not reduce to 6.
Your Overall Goal/Life Number, as explained on The Numbers page, describes what you came here to do, it is up to you to make it fun and easy. Each of these overall goals has an inherent Challenge as described on The Numbers page. As we progress through life, we swing like a pendulum between the success of the Goal and the distractions and fears of the Challenge inherent in each number. Generally, we succeed in contributing our Overall Goal to the ‘team‘ around us, even if subconsciously, because our Self has it all in hand.
BUT … and yes, there is a big BUT … depending on your birth date you will have another challenge, one more specific to you as an individual, making you a little different to the others around you with the same Overall Goal/Life Number. The characteristics of the Challenge Number, need to be addressed for a smoother (more fun and easy) journey along the Way. By being aware of your Challenge and choosing to adopt its strengths (rather than the challenging weaknesses that comes with avoidance), you will be adding to your skills and eventually mastering this Challenge for the highest good of all concerned.
Working out your Personal Challenge:
To work out our Personal Challenge number we use a slightly different technique and reduce each number in our birth date.
Using the same birth date as above: 18.07.1963
1+8 = 9 . 0+7 = 7 . 1+9+6+3 = 19; 1 + 9 = 10; 1 + 0 = 1
= 9 . 7 . 1
Now we calculate the difference between these numbers to come up with the two Sub Challenges:
9 – 7 and 7 – 1
2 and 6
Then we calculate the difference between the Sub Challenge numbers to discover the Personal Challenge.
2 – 6
4
The Sub Challenges affect us, in that we can usually relate to them. But more importantly, the Personal Challenge is the one to look out for and create awareness of; thereby transforming its negativity.
The Personal Challenge Number is already described in the story on The Numbers page as the challenge in each Number. The Personal Challenge Number acts as a guide to discovering our Shadow Self, allowing us opportunities to allow our humanness expression … a very healthy thing to do, especially with techniques such as Big Mind/Big Heart.
As we find balance between our Overall Goal Number and our Personal Challenge Number, we find our way.
The Zero (0) Challenge Number.
Some people have both Sub Challenges being the same number. In a similar way to the Challenge Number, people will relate to this number’s influence in their life! This will result in a Zero Life Challenge Number. Zero Challenge has the job of balancing all the Challenge Numbers 1-9 and discovering the real meaning of RESPONSIBILITY. If you have the Zero Life Challenge Number, you are in the process of studying all of the fears and creating awareness around each one until they transform (welcome to my world!), creating a fun and easy path for yourself (not that it would have started this way, I am sure!) … this is your responsibility; to make your life fun and easy!
And now for the Spirit Number.
I am fascinated by this! As in the Daily Numbers, where we can misinterpret the day so easily!
For example: I am typing this on 16 October 2010 … I enjoyed a sleep in, a leisurely chat with a neighbour, a great conversation with the store owner, a friend called in for afternoon tea … and I was wondering why I felt as though I still had not done anything constructive yet! Many people would justify it as “Well, it is a Saturday after all!” But that does not explain the feeling! Numerology does though. By explaining today, the micro version, I am hoping to explain how this affects our life, the macro version!
Today’s Goal was 11; to support a greater cause (like adding a page to my Numerology Blog on the internet … not just in my journal or in a file in my computer … and discussing a facebook page suggesting alkalising your body prevents and cures cancer!), two “greater causes.” The Challenge is 4, so I was procrastinating! And here is the interesting bit, the Spirit number is 7 which means we can be tempted to intellectualise and miss the spiritual meaning/the Consciousness. NO, don’t be tricked … the day may look like a good day to intellectualise (if our self-esteem is drooping); but it felt as though it needed something that included Consciousness/Feeling. If I give my intellect a day off, a holiday, an opportunity to contemplate my Self, the Universe, God, my Feelings, Etc, I will experience something much more profound. I got to feel about and write about Spirit!
The past illusion of the Spirit Number was all about the distraction that would fool us, dumb us down, block our Greatness. Now (since 17 March 2011) it is about allowing our Greatness. Today, the 7 day number resulted in me publishing this page. An aspect of my Spiritual Purpose, to both communicate and lead the way. [and on 25 March 2011 ... another 7 Spirit number! I find myself back here updating the Spirit Number throughout the blog!!! on an Overall Goal number day of 5=Transformation
]
So, imagine this on a life size scale. Just because it is the first and easiest number to relate to (day of month reduced), doesn’t mean we should stop there … we need to learn to dig deeper, create a greater understanding of our selves by combining numbers, especially your Goal/Life Number (date of birth reduced) and then the Spirit Number (the day of the month you were born on reduced). By knowing our Overall Goal/Life Number, we have the opportunity to know our role in Our Consciousness’s expansion. And then, by allowing there to be a two way communication between self and Self (the spiritual aspect of us) via the Day number you were born on, you can receive Guidance as to how to used your Strength, your Right Action to further demonstrate your Spiritual Role. We have all of our life to explore this Goal, so don’t give up too soon.
If you were born on a 1 day (1st or 10th of the month); you probably lead the way when being assertive, or when your self esteem is low: a loner and nervous about sharing your ideas, often distracting yourself by coming up with new plans and ideas to divert from your Spiritual Purpose.
If you were born on a 2 day (2nd or 20th); you support others in being their Greatness (wondering why it is so energy consuming when you are in low self esteem). And when in denial of your ability, you distract yourself following others, when you really don’t need to.
If you were born on the 11th; you support causes, expanding them to include a Higher Good, but when you are feeling lower self esteem, you distract yourself by following other philosophies when you don’t need to (because you can create your own), just to avoid your Spiritual Purpose.
If you were born on a 3 day (3rd, 12th, 21st, 30th); you are the creative poet, artist, writer, etc adding light and laughter to the Path (but when low self esteem is running the show, you see your work as not good enough) and distract yourself using/watching others use their creative methods of expression (while ignoring your own) to avoid your Spiritual Purpose.
4 day (4th, 13th, 31st); you are able to get into the zone of any task, you can happily find Spirituality in each task, and you demonstrate this to all. Yet, when feeling low self-esteem, you try working too hard, rather than enjoying life, and distract yourself from your Spiritual Purpose with jobs that don’t inspire you.
22nd; your task is to keep others on task! Not by cracking the whip, by encouragement. When you experience low self-esteem, you find yourself avoiding your Spiritual Role of encouraging others to keep on with their Task/Spiritual Role; you may even be distracting yourself with the working details rather than letting go and letting Spirit.
5 day (5, 14, 23); You Transform both yourself and those around you by choosing personal growth over fear. When in lower self-esteem you can be so busy travelling or socialising that you miss the balance (Spiritual Purpose) that is inherent in your Overall Goal.
6 day (6, 15, 24); You bring people’s differing perspectives together, unit the information with compassion, but with low self-esteem, you can be busy worrying about family and using that as a reason not to be on Spiritual Purpose, do your Overall Goal.
7 day (7, 16, 25); You bring Consciousness into words, you demonstrate Consciousness. But when experiencing low self-esteem, you studying the theory, rather than demonstrating Consciousness.
8 day (8, 17, 26); You bring the desire for being organised, to maintain a structure that others can embrace also, to any situation. But when low self-esteem hits; you get caught up in the discipline, sticking to a routine, that you have applied to yourself to enable avoidance, rather than experiencing your Overall Goal/Spiritual Purpose.
9 day (9, 18, 27); You are the Visionary, your Spiritual Role is to imagine, to daydream, what would be best for us. When low self-esteem hits, you lose yourself in visualising your fears and become distracted by the emotions of those around you.
For some people, life is a little less complicated by having the same day of birth number as their Overall Goal … So, no confusion there! Just the usual inherent lessons of the number! But be aware of the double strength of the low-self esteem stuff!
If you find you have been distracted by the Illusion of your birth day number, have a good laugh, (as this is what it is to be human!) and switch to the Spiritual Purpose of the number. We are on the road to discovering that we need to look deeper (within) to find our true Self. Embrace all you have learnt, and focus on what you can do with this awareness of your Overall Goal Number! You can be Great, and then Greater than Great, … which is heaps better than being good!
There maybe a risk involved, you may need to face your fears, as indicated by your Personal Challenge Number!
And there is more to this! The day of our birth is often how others perceive us at a glance; and they don’t even know what day we were born on!!! This is because they are subconsciously picking up on our focus and acting as a mirror for us to see what it is we are demonstrating by our behaviours. They are providing feedback … are you being given jobs, tasks, responsibilities, more in line with your lower self-esteem, or are people (or the Universe) providing opportunities more in alignment with both your Overall Goal/Life Number and your Spirit Number?
For example if you were born on a 1 day (1st or 10th of the month); people will often choose you to lead the way, or to come up with a plan/idea, or even just leave you alone to do your thing independently.
If you were born on a 2 day (2nd or 20th); people will expect you to follow and/or support them with good communication skills thrown in!
3 day; they probably expect you to be creative now, to whip up a design or tune on the spot! And you can!
Etc, through the list on The Numbers page.
If you are tending toward the low self-esteem illusion found in the day number of your birthdate, you will do as instructed thinking you are doing the right thing, but feeling as though life is dealing you a bad hand! When you are focused on your Overall Goal and the Spiritual Purpose, then you will be glad to help, it wont seem like work and time will fly while you get heaps done as you whistle/hum a little tune
